Schools systems in Georgia are primarily county systems along with a few city systems. In the metropolitan Atlanta area, school systems are the Atlanta City Schools, Decatur City Schools, Marietta City Schools, Buford City Schools and the primary northern suburban county systems of Dekalb, Fulton, Gwinnett, Cobb, Cherokee, Forsyth and Douglas. The southern suburban counties are Fayette, Clayton, Henry and Rockdale. Most of the school systems include Elementary schools grade levels of 1-5th grades. Middle schools consist of 6-8th grade. High school of 9-12th grade.
The great majority of people that we meet, who have moved to the Atlanta area, are surprised and happy with the quality of the schools that they find.
My customers/clients have found the School systems in the North Georgia Mountains to be consistent with the quality of the Cobb county school system.
Listed at the right are the web site links for each of the major city and county systems.
